Whilst I don't know for sure modem boards are normally wrapped up like that...

Then again perhaps not...

What revision of 12" PB did this come out of. The second line would indicate that it connects via an I2C bus. The block diagram (http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Hardware/Developer_Notes/Macintosh_CPUs-G4/12inchPowerBookG4/2_Architecture/chapter_3_section_2.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40001763-CH206-TPXREF101) for the current 12" indicates that the Sudden Motion Sensor attaches via I2C...

Edit: Previous generation Block Diagram (http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Hardware/Developer_Notes/Macintosh_CPUs-G4/12inchPowerBookG4_Apr04/2_Architecture/chapter_3_section_2.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40001085-CH206-TPXREF101): no I2C devices (although a few I2S, not sure what the difference is)...

It's a micro-dash modem card.

Just out of curiosity, why are you selling the parts?
