Hey guys
Just a quick stupid question: Could a working G4 processor taken from a 'Digital Audio' model be put into another G4 powermac regardless if its the Digital Audio model or not? For example if i wanted to put it into an AGP or PCI model would it work?
Thanks :)

Over on LowEndMac (http://www.lowendmac.com/ppc/g4-133.shtml) they talk a little about this. The Digital Audio has a 133mhz fsb, I doubt the processors would run on a 100mhz fsb Sawtooth. They also mention that moving the higher speed processors into a slower speed DA box isn't supported because of some system board problems. I am thinking it probably won't work.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I have no idea how that we can buy a simple cpu upgrade from Sonnet and it just work across the board on the boxes. Some kind of voodoo magic I guess.
