They're different in that he gets to moderate the boards himself and create a posting dynamic of his own choosing.

Wasteland? Dunno... He did say please...He could have also posted this in "Apple, Industry and Internet Discussion" where he already has a thread from a month ago begging for members -- that he could have popped to the top.
Starting a new thread so soon in the wrong forum again will get this thread moderated in some form or another -- especially with an annoying shout for a title. :(

mmm i was thinking if all you Macrumors members gave me a £10 each i could then afford to get a new mac plus some extras,
but since you will not i shall stick to floggin the Big issue with my dog scraggy by my side, and still be happy visiting Macrumors

Having a FREE domain for the forum lack the credibility right from the start when users first click on the link. No offense but you lack the marketing plot to draw anyone here but credit for being brave enough to "poach".
Nevertheless, the forum looks reasonably nice ;)
