What's there to do in Phoenix in January?

nope, but I went through that airport. It is a nice big airport, but
I think their whole mosaic theme is kida ugly. Same with all the
turquise. Reminds me too much of my grandmother :D.

I was starting to get scared of the responses on this thread till now - the day trips and hiking are what I would lean towards, that and a chance to take some pics. And I think I will make a trip to the Apple store, I've only been to two so far and they are both in Virginia near me.

Have you been to any Apple stores before? Except for the 2 story flagship stores they are pretty much the same.

I'm afraid I haven't. I will be going to the Houston Galleria one over
Winter break for sure. Can't wait. I know it isgoing to be a big
let-down though, because there isn't anything they could put
in there to have it live up to my expectations. Well, maybe a IBM
970 Powermac. ;) :rolleyes: :D

I don't think so - it is a lot of fun to go and see all the machines and especially the 23" LCD if you haven't seen one in person yet. You should go if you get a chance.

I don't personally know many other Mac users, but considering that Apple chose to put two stores out here, we must have quite a few.

Well, as a fellow photographer, I was trying to give you some scenic destinations. :)

I should point out that Flagstaff does get snow during the winter, so keep an eye on the weather if you decide to head up that way.

Ha, I'm going to be out there when you get there probably - where do you live now in DC - I'm in Old Town. I'll probably be going out there for a couple months on and off for work. Looking forward to it.

I live in Aspen Hill right now. Moved from Capitol Hill (N.E.) last year.

I am supposed to start my new job around the 10th of January. Just found out about it about 2 weeks ago.

Anyone in the DC area who is a certified tech, may want to look into a job opening at the National Human Genome Research Institute, at NIH in Bethesda.
