The last time I saw one was months ago. I did a search and didn't come up with anything. If there is another one let me know and I will have this deleted or closed.

I would like to sell this monitor if anyone is interested.

Here's an old thread from June:

Thanks krosfyter! :D Yeah it was nice, but I've had to move the media lab out of the basement and into one of the bedrooms, so the space has been reduced. Had to put the drafting table in storage until I move the setup back downstairs once the addition is put on next year. :(

But I'll post the new setup when I get it complete.

The key to keeping my desk clean is what is lacking...a printer.

I keep the print tools (network scanner, printer, FAX, and copier) in a utility room, and this helps me organize with bookmarks instead of printing eveything.

I did do a little tidy for the photo though....

LOL, yeah, gotta have the sneaky FHM hidden under T3 ;)
The iBook is getting there, but I'm still looking for a buyer for the Stinkpad T21 before I get one. :(
I'm not sure what you mean by "Out of interet, what card do the old quicksilvers have?"

Supposed to be out of interest, meaning, what kind of connections does it have for monitor spanning . Sorry to break it to you but your quicksilver is now "old".

It's a GF4MX which is good enough for me, I never play games, all I need is a card that will support QE and dual screens, I'm actually thinking about getting another PCI video card so that I can have all three screens connected to the mac :D

Actually I'm not bothered, I see no major speed increase between this QS and the MDD DP1ghz models, and I have the (IMO) better looking one. :)

for some reason the recent firmware update for windtunnels has seemed to make my computer louder, and more erratic that it had been. I used to think the quicksilvers were nicer looking, but since ive had my mirrored awesomeness-in-a-box, ive found that it really grows on you.

You are correct, the firmware update made the so-called "problem" worse. It is only a hum most of the time. But twice I have heard the things go to max. It was amazing! It was like having a vacumm cleaner 10 feet away. But that happens only when I restart, before the computer realises it is not running a 400 C.

Well, I already had the soundsticks, as did my roomy. Yea, that is a 22". Still when you cue the same some, and click play at the same time. It is a lot of sound in that room.

Here's my setup at home after I just cleaned and reorganized everything. That's my TiBook 1GHz Superdrive on the left, A 19" Dell monitor that I use for both my 900MHz AMD machine (running RedHat 8 of course and very seldem booted into Winblows 2000 for a couple games hidden inside the compartment to the right. and next to that on the side is my G3 233MHz (it's a screamer!) And yes, the monitor IS hooked up to the G3 and YES it is running Jaguar! ;)

That's interesting. My MDD did not change after the firmware upgrade. Sure there was that first start up when it went full blast but it hasn't done that since.

Here is a link to my set-up. It's a cubic VR that I shot with my Coolpix 5000. Pretty cool hey !!! I'd only just moved in so it looks very sterile and clean, although its been re-organised and my plants have turned up so it's more like the jungle I'm used to.
My Dual 867 MDD is hiding under the desk. And my girlfreinds iBook (the worlds least used iBook - poor thing) just begs to be used.

http://matthew.rogers.name/cp5000_3.cfm

It's a multi-res file so if you're on a dial-up, and are patient you can change your quicktime connection setting to 512 and above then reload the page. It's much more impressive that way.

Just incase you're interested here are links to 2 more VR's I've done recently:

I moved a few weeks ago. I'm living now in the former headquarter of Corus wich is one of the biggest stealmanufactures of the world. The building is empty for 3 years now except for a few people including me living there and preventing it to be squaded. It is so cool. You're the first person I've ever seen on macrumors.com who's also in Oxford.
I've PMd you.

How difficult is it to do panoramas like the ones you did of Oxford, and your office?

Regards,
Ambrose

Is that a Griffin Power Mate between the keyboard and mouse? I had no idea it was so BIG... Is it worth the 30 bucks?

First, no matter where people are, Japan, Netherlands, United States, everyone is pretty much the same.......though some people are a lot sloppier then other

Second thought is that the LCD iMac looks really nice in those pics. Maybe I should get a 12 inch Powerbook and 17inch iMac down the road, rather then a 17 inch Powerbook.

Thanks. The tibook was a birthday present from my parents a couple of years back, so it's getting a little dated in comparison to the latest offerings from apple. It keeps me going through my degree though :)

Yes it is a little big, but i got it anyaway, it is was a lot more expensive than 30 buck here in Japan - closer to 80 if I remember correctly - I tend to forget how much money i spend on things here, stops me from going crazy!!

I just bought a PowerMate yesterday and I don't think it's big at all, just right in my opinion! :) I paid $45 for mine at Microcenter. It was a 45 minute drive but they're the closet place that carries them. I didn't know how popular they are. They didn't have any in stock and the only reason I got one was because while I was in the store their supply truck came and they went and got me one off the truck before they even finished unpacking! Now that's service! :D But anyway, I've only gotten to play with it for a few hours but I recommend everyone get one. They rock!
