If you want a shooter with lots of gametypes and expandable options, I'd go with Unreal Tournament 2004. Be careful with Black and White...it'll eat up your life quickly (those darn peasants are never happy!). ;)

That Mac will run The Sims 2 and Sim City 4 smoothly, so you might want to order a few Maxis games ;) ... Doom 3 will also run great IMO. Enjoy your iMac, send me one for xmas, would you?

Rainbow Six 3 (Rogue Spear)

1st person shooter with as much tactical input as you want. I've played Co-op over a LAN which was fun, but never online battles. Perhaps I will when my 20 " iMac G5 with 1.5 GB is delivered. Hey, snap!

Battlefield 1942 is fun for crazy, silly fighting.

(ps, yes I did buy 3rd party RAM. It is waiting patiently...)

there's some cool games there already chosen. something to consider.. But my vote goes for Doom3, esp with a mod enabled such as GTX!
But Star Wars Battlefront is a good choice for a fps. I think you've made 3 great decisions already : )

I'd say that UT2004 will keep you busy for long. It has lots of great mods and you may never completely finish it.

Heres my recomended games, if you have a Rev B iMac I found Doom 3 to be playable but only just and Sim City 4 to be a waste of time slower than Doom 3.

First Person Shooters:
Unreal Tournament 2004
Call of Duty is good WWII shooter
Close Combat First to Fight
Halo

Strategy and War:
Rise of Nations
Age Of Empires 2
Command and Conquer Generals
Tropico 2

Simulation:
Sims 2
Football Manager 2006
Railroad Tycoon 3

Sport:
Tiger Woods 2005

Role Playing:
Fable (when it comes out)

I've found Rise of Nations, Gold Edition, to be a pain in the butt. I've just got it and out of trying to play about ten times at least six have froze or shutdown. Maybe there is a patch or something I should be aware of.
