New 15" Powerbook Disc Eject Question

Hi all,
I just got the latest PB and whenever I turn on my computer it sounds like it's trying to eject a disc. Is this normal? I looked in the user guide and it doesn't mention it, only hearing the tone. The optical drive appears to be working normally otherwise. This is my first Mac.

Yeah, it's normal. My iBook does the same thing. :)

Yup, mad jew is right. My powerbook does it too.
