ATI RADEON 9600 128MB MAC G5 VIDEO CARD (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5823891842)

Came from the PowerMac G5 2.3 I recentley sold. I know its working because Apple Reseller sorted the machine when i used the BTO, but its BRAND NEW. Possibly a cheap way to get Core Image support if someone needs it? It's got 128MB of VRAM and AFAIK supports AGP 4x and 8x (Definatley 8x).

I'm going to assume it will work in any POWERMAC, but if you have a G5 safe to say it will be fine (unless its a new one with PCIexpress that is).

I'm pretty sure that this card is AGP 8x only so it will not work in a G4 Power Mac without modifications.

Still, that's a decent a good price for a G5 video card card and a useful upgrade for G5 owners with the original 64MB 9600 Pro or GeForce5200.

It's just a 9600 btw not a 9600XT.

Hmm ill have to add to my listing then that it might not be compatible with AGP 4x.

Yeah, all of the BTO cards for the G5 are 8x only, although some of the retail cards (like the 256MB 9600 or 9800) are 2x/4x/8/x.
