I don't know if this is a virus or some application being funny. But here's the story: I just checked my console in OS X 10.2 and it keeps adding these phrases:
Ha, but my life is a box of wormgears.
Wearly I sit here, pain and misery my only companions.
Pardon me for breathing, which I never do any way so I don't know why I bother to say it, oh God, I'm so depressed.
Would you like me to go and stick my head in a bucket of water?
Do you want me to sit in the corner and rust, or just fall apart where I'm standing?
etc...
Maybe I installed a program that causes this once and forgot all about it.
Does anyone know what this is?

That's Dougals Adams from The Resturant ant the End of The Universe, It dialouge from Marvin the depressed android.
Wow utterly effing strange.
Has to be some kind of hack, can't imagine any app doing it.

Do a search on your computer for any program or file with his name on it. If something's there and active, trash it.
You might also have a text command active to repeat some jokes or otherwise useless phrases. Try to disable it.
I'll be honest: I usually don't go about exploring Console, nor do I know much with UNIX, so I can't be of more help.

It might be an Easter Egg of sorts...kind of like the cow in FCP3...
You leave your system inactive but not asleep for over 24 hours and this cow (supposedly) shows up on your FCP desktop and wanders around. This might be something similar...who knows...
