I am assuming you have Mac OS X, if not you need a program called DAVE. It allows Mac OS 9 computers to connect to windows printers and hard disks. The web adress is http://www.thursby.com/default.html

If you have Mac OS X, you can connect to PC hard disks, but to do anything else like connect to printers you need a program like DAVE.

To use things like Scanners and DVD/CD writers. You need to operate them on the PC they are connected to. Then you can transfere the files to the Mac.

On your Mac, if you have Mac OS X, to connect to another PC, go to the 'GO' menu and select 'Connect To Server'. Then type in the following: smb://work;markspc/mark1/

Replace 'work' with the name of the PC network, 'markspc' with the name of the computer you want to connect to and replace 'mark1' with the name of the hard disk you want to connect to.

If you have DAVE, it is alot easier to connect to other computers.
