Do you have the most creative ideas when you're just sitting around with nothing better to do?

I'm not too sure, but I think you spent too much time with your cat avatar at FunMac. :D
I've been designing a few avatars for the contest when I get an idea. I also burned a few songs to my xBox and made a whole CD label thing.
I also made the parental advisory logo in the corner. :p

Sort of, I tend to get all my best ideas for stuff when I'm nowhere near any kind of equipment or means of remembering the idea. Sometimes I've thought the whole process of tune from beginning to end while I'm doing something boring or just travelling, music that just flows so perfectly with sounds I can never reproduce exactly as I imagined them. I usually lose the idea by the time I've home and got protools open.

Creative when you're not doing anything - hmm, that's different than being creatively bored - I first thought that you couldn't get into anything you were doing creatively.
I find I come up with many of my ideas while doing a little free association while taking a shower. It works well and has allowed me to solve some problems with my projects that had been hampering me.

so I bought a camera...u know...to pass the time...
that's led me to being a co-founder of www.thefotohaus.com :D
so u see...u never really know where the road will take u... ;)

if i'm bored, i sleep... so no
as for being bored creatively (ie, in a creative lull) right now... no. got some things cooking in the head, and once wrapping and all that dies down, some shizz will go down.

My wife gave me the boot, and the one thing that pisses me off more than anything is that we're not friends anymore.
Back to the topic... I love a good fight or a complicated agreement to get my creative juices flowing. Lately, things have stagnated, so I'm pretty bored creatively. BUT, I just got a promotion to be Division Manager in a different section here at the Department, and although I haven't started yet, I'm starting to get excited about it.

dukestreet, eyelikeart, and mcrain sorry to hear about the loss of your wives. No personal experience but I'm sure it must be particularly difficult this time of year. I'm sorry to hear about this. Hope that the new year brings reconcilliation for all of you, really mean that form the bottom of my heart, seriously as a friend.

Ha! Well, I'm still married, just celebrated our 1st anniversary, don't know what made you think otherwise. And eyelikeart is talking about his ex-girlfriend, but it was a longer than most relationship. He can go into detail from here, just thought I'd clear things up a bit.
Viagra - nice.

Congratulations on your 1st wedding anniversary dukestreet, hope you have many more. Just felt bad when I read about couples not together for the holidays!
