Football Manager 2006 - in game a bit sluggish?

Im running Football manager 2006 on my imac with 1.5gb ram. When the 2d games are being played it is not smooth and is quite stuttery when the players are moving about, having used it on my previous PC, this was very smooth there.

Do others notice this too i dont think i could stick with it, it annoys the hell out of me.

I noticed this problem much more in fm05, fm06 only stutters occaisonally but I am running it on an ibook, check how muc free ram you have in activity monitor, that could be the culprit.

Took some pictures - does this look right, seems im using an awful lot of memory to be sitting in windows not doing a lot.

hmmm you have anough ram, how many leagues and what database are you running?

Medium and all english/scottish leagues, the main game itself runs fine, it was just in match that was jittery, no problems with the speed of the actual game itself.
