I'm looking at getting 1gig of ram for my FP iMac soon and I was wondering where to get some good, cheap ram.

I have 512 now, 2x256 chips so they'd be obselete now, and I'll throw them on ebay after I get my gig of ram.

Here's a list (http://www.18004memory.com/category.asp?catid=9&subcatid=905) of more than halfway decent prices for iMac memory. Look for NEW 700MHz PC133 type.

512MB: $65 in the USA.

I thought that if your iMac had 256MB , then your max was 768MB because the 256 chip was soldered onto the motherboard? Just curious.
