I just ordered Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and was wondering if there was anything I should know before playing it. Is there any way to optimize my system for it or make it run smoother? I'll be running it on my PB (only 64MB vram btw). Any other game advice/tips would also be appreciated!

Thanks ;)

A good first step would be to download and install the patch. (http://www.aspyr.com/detail.php?p_game_id=131&p_game_nav=&p_game_nav=5) :)

Cool, thanks for that! Anything else I should know? I should also probably mention that I haven't really played any proper games on my Mac yet, so is there anything I can do to optimize graphics etc?

Thanks again ;)

I've heard that it doesn't run properly on widescreen systems :(

Really? That sucks then :( Maybe I'll be better off playing through an old CTR we have lying around then?

Kotor I, right? I've been able to run it just fine actually unpatched right out of the box, but the patch would definitely help. And try turning down certain graphical things that are just eye-candy (for instance, 3D grass) if you have issues.

The game came today, and i've been playing it for the last few hours (wow the time flies!). So far I haven't had any problems with the graphics and I haven't messed with any of the settings. I'm about to go into the sewers which can apparently get a bit choppy, so we'll see how it goes.

PS It is KOTOR I
