i was just thinking, would apple do something big because next year is its 30th anniversary?

I heard they're gonna switch to Intel Inside!!! :eek:

All sarcasm aside, who knows? I don't forsee anything special (as much as we'd all want a 30th anniversarry Mac), but Steve's always got a surprise up his sleeve...

I think the Intel switch is already big, so I don't see Apple releasing any special edition Mac. But that's just my opinion :) .

if they came out with a 30th Aniversary Mac i'de be all for it

i don't think it will happen though beacause they are way to focused on intel at the moment

what other special anniversary macs have they sold??

There was a lot of anticipation on these boards about the 20th anniversary of the mac in 2004-- nothing happened; I don't think there was even an apple press release. (The 20th anniversary mac came at the 20th anniversary of the company, not of the mac; for those of you who may not know that). I don't think we'll hear anything about any anniversary.

yeah but they released the 20th Anniversary Mac with custom sound system,s-video, and integrated radio system

the 20th anniversary was realesed in 1997
so if they do a 30th is wont come until 2007 then
