I am looking for a remote control that is more advanced than the Keyspan Digital Media Remote.

A fully featured programable remote would be perfect. Something like this.

Any ideas?

Sony RMAV3000, only remote in my very IR friendly home office.

Controls my Mac via Keyspan port
Controls my PC via generic IR receiver
Controls my Sony TV
Controls my 18.1" Xenon LCD
Controls my Panasonic TV/VCR
Controls my ReplayTV
Controls my Cable Box
Controls my interior lighting
Controls my HP De-100c
Controls my entire stereo as well

Supports 18 devices natively/21 with fiddling.

No computer uplink, but with the $870 in savings you can buy a teenager to program it correctly.

The remote learns the IR codes from the Keyspan, and then issues them as if it were the Keyspan. Everything on the computer side is handled by the keyspan software.

The only problem in the whole system if that certain things accidently get slurped by the computers' receivers. If I hit pause on the Replay, it sends a down arow key event to my pc. If I choose to increase the lights on my dimmer, it sends an enter event to the Keyspan.

As soon as I get burned (data loss, or such) by one of these actions, I'll prolly go in and see about reassigning the computers' receive codes.

Bear in mind, you need to buy the Keyspan & the Sony...but you replace the Keyspan's remote sender with the more powerful Sony.

I dig it. I already own the keyspan.. just find it to be very childish and incomplete.

I need a more advanced solution. More functionality and better made product.

Sony seems great.

Thanks again.

I programmed my own, of course. However, I know nothing about the skills of others!
