Secure OS X reports on a "highly critical" flaw that has been discovered in Symantec's AntiVirus software for Mac OS X. This flaw is the latest in a bevy of other issues caused by the AutoProtect component of Symantec's Norton AntiVirus under Mac OS X 10.4.x

That was pretty evil! Glad it's been patched for three years. :D But if I understand correctly, you had to be on the same subnet or upstream of the requesting computer, in order to ever see the packets involved, didn't you? You wouldn't see packets attempting to make a connection between my computer and Apple.com from where you're standing, would you?
