Is there a way to install the media player plug in on the brower? I have all the players installed but they are not plug-in for browers. It is pain in the butt when it comes to watching news or any other video that requres the WMP...help plz?

i have yet to see anything that works. your best bet is to download MPlayerOSX at http://sourceforge.net/projects/mplayerosx and save the file to play with it. if it doesnt play in that player, its not gonna play.

i really hope that one day soon mplayer gains the capability to play windows media streams, it really is a great application (i just wish that we had all of the extra features and skins that linux users have). if i knew how to program, i'd do something similar to the ffmpeg.component (http://mpeg4.jamby.net) based on the wmv code from mplayer and make a windows media component for quicktime, that would really piss off ms.

I was amazed that an MPG i tried to view yesterday downloaded rather than viewing... even netscape did that, and QT is apple's own technology...
