They haven't revised their FAQs for 2.5.

Running Skype and this at the same time was murder until I turned off Anisotropic Filtering. Skype uses 30-40% of my CPU.

That is why I said they haven't revised their specs yet.

Ahh sorry, must have read it wrong:o , so are the specs more or less the same? Will it run on a PM G4 1ghz 640mb ram with an ati radeon 7500 32mb decently, or my ibook in my sig? Also what is new in this version? I hope bridge crossing is still there its the only map I ever play.

It will run, but you probably have to lower many of the settings. If you can run 2.3, you most likely be able to run 2.5 at the same settings.

Also what is new in this version?I hope bridge crossing is still there its the only map I ever play. I don't really know too much new stuff. I mostly only play Pipeline and Pipeline SF. I doubt they removed a map though. I did try out a new map (at least I never played it before) and was the sniper. I had a pistol as a second gun. DId they have this in 2.3?

Defesnse on Bridge Crossing with all of us in Skype. ******** WIN.

Because 2.5 uses the newer Unreal engine it should run faster than 2.3 on the same detail settings. However even after the 2.5.0a hotfix most people have found that it's noticeably slower :(

I've stopped playing it for now, because it's become unplayable for my machine (12" PowerBook).

Well on automatic processor setting AA runs sluggishly on my ibook with EVERYTHING on LOWEST. I guess it gets around 15FPS in training, how do you think the digital audio in my sig will cope? Worst processors but double the ram and Vram.

I got about 60fps when I had a GF FX 5200 in my PM G5 in training with Everything on High.

Well it souldn't drop down in speed THAT much. Isn't the card in the ibook a 32mb Geforce Go 5200? Or is it the 9200/9550?

9200 but then again this is version 2.5, you might have tried 2.3 which was very playable on mid settings on my ibook.

I just read there is a glitch in the auto login feature and if I turn off auto login I will get 2-3FPS more on average, anyone else run americas army on a similair set up? If so how many FPS do you get? Do you think its cuz my processor is on auto and not max?

I have a 12" Powerbook G4 1 Ghz with a 32 MB 5200 and 1.25 GB of ram. I get about 12-15 FPS. It is unplayable. 2.3 was much better as I was able to play on it. Thankfully I have a 20" iMac G5 2 Ghz with a 128 BM 9600 and 1 GB of ram as that can handle 2.5.

I am sure if you look hard enough you can find it, and I still see a few people playing it.

The admin just gave us rocket launchers. I didn't know they existed in that game. He swapped us to pistols and then halfway through the match. ROCKETS :) It was 3 vs. 3 and their was a minimum range. I had to kill their last guy by FF'ing one of ours.

Well I just found out there is a hotfix patch, after patchin I got a boost of 3-5FPS so now I get from 18.5-25 FPS on average and I find it playable, so I suggest anyone on a low end system to patch it. Also what is the difference between 2.3 and 2.5, the game seems almost exactly the same to me, except for the MOUT training.
