Anybody know about these? After installing Firefox, it defaults the homepage to:
http://www.google.com/firefox
So I tried others and found these:
http://www.google.com/microsoft
http://www.google.com/mac
http://www.google.com/linux
http://www.google.com/home redirects to http://www.google.com/univ/home, which is a university search. Here's the complete list of universities (http://www.google.com/universities.html)
Anyone know of any other sort of hidden pages on Google?

Just the localised one which kinda annoys me. Google Australia just doesn't search the right places. :o

Thanks. I knew they couldn't be hidden, but didn't know another way to express it.

They really need to update the logo for the Mac page.

What the heck is so "special" about the Mac page that I would want to use it instead of the standard Google page?

It has "mac" in the URL... :) That, obviously, makes it a better search engine.

The Mac Google page only searches Apple-related pages.

Don't think so (http://www.google.com/mac?hl=en&lr=&q=microsoft)
I hardly think that http://msdn.microsoft.com/visualc/ has anything to do with Apple. :)

You'll notice that almost every one of those pages contains the word "apple" or "mac." You'll also notice that it doesn't pull up the main Microsoft page. It's obviously doing some sort of primitive filtering, but I don't know exactly what.

Also, if you go to the "Advanced Search" page, you'll see links to a couple of the "topic-specific searches."

It just seems like a weak excuse for a Mac-only search engine.

I saw that earlier. They just don't seem to be fully nailed to their topic.
