Finding scholarships online

Hey all
Does anybody know of a good, secure website that I can go to to find scholarships online? I just went to one, and they wanted personal info (fine), but they wanted my ss# etc, and I don't believe it was a secure page. If any of you have gone this route, can you post the link?

a great educational source are the books on education from peterson's

some scholarships are plentiful for some majors which are the ones less traveled

If you want the better odds, look for your local scholarships. Most of these will be low $ amounts, but will add up in a hurry.
Talk to the schools, departments, professional societies, etc. In my experience, these search firms are a waste of time and money.
