How many posts till I can have a picture?

Hey everyone, i was just wondering one thing. From looking around the web page for an option, i am assuming you have to have so many posts. plus I havent seen any newbies or regulars with pictures. I am at roughly 400 posts right now, how many does it take or is it only the "chosen" few because if not I can't wait till I can have a picture.

From the more information link in the FAQ (http://forums.macrumors.com/misc.php?s=&action=faq&page=1#avatar):
Avatars are small graphical images that you may choose in your profile. They are displayed below your username on all posts that you make. You can select the image that best describes yourself from your profile options.

If you have more than 500 posts, you may also specify your own custom avatar.

Well to get an avatar, or 'tar to those in the know, you need 500 posts.

just kidding...most people don't read the rules & such...there's also the ease of using the "search" on the site to find topic specific threads...

yes, this thread will pop up from time to time. It is unavoidable,
and there really isn't anything anyone can do about it. Well, I
guess arn could remove the 'create a new name' feature, and
have only current members be able to be members, and then that
question would be avoided, but that won't happen. ;) :D
