Someone posted this link awhile back, but here it is again:

http://www.axess.com/twilight/console/

Click on the orange one right below the Atari controller.

2 screens.
Folds up.
cross-shaped control pad.
Nintendo made.

Add on the newer inventions like wireless, trouchscreen, etc, pop on a few more buttons, and you have the DS.

Maybe they should port this version of Donkey Kong to the DS :)

Hey!!!

Where are the single display versions of the Game & Watches?!

I used to play with "Octopus" so many times when I was a kid... especially during the flights between Jakarta and Amsterdam (on holidays with my parents)
Trouble with those games was max points was 999 ;)
Challenge was: who could beat the 1k points the most times...

Played this one too!!

Yup! I used to play my cousins Mario and Luigi dual screen when I was but a wee child. used to have a Mario watch too... I got it the day before my holiday and lost it the day after! in a big field somewhere down south. *sobs*

And then of course there were the clamshell games that went the other way, like Mario Bros. – control Mario and Luigi at the same time! Just think of that, eh?!

Wow! That is really amazing, with the dual screens and everything! (and they had too much distance between the two screens then, too). On a side note, there's a pretty cool thing you can buy which is basically an Atari 2600 inside an Atari 2600 joystick controller with like every 2600 game ever made. It caught my eye in Toys 'R' Us the other day and I could not stop playing Adventure! The joystick is good too, feels like the real thing, very solid.

I remember loads of people at primary school having them, and I was particularly taken with Bomb Sweeper - simple and easy to pick up (very important when someone's given you a go for 2 minutes!) and a puzzle game, my favourite.

Imagine my delight to be given this in November last year. Talk about a lifetime's ambition fulfilled....:D

I don't think that thing was sleek *then*! I got one for NiGHTS, but it's far from being my favorite analog controller....

Man do I love those Jakks Pacific TV Games toys. The Atari one is addictive - LOVE Adventure. Their Pac-Man game controller is a bit clunky though but their Activision is sweet.

Haw. I have that. Yeah, it's pretty hideous, but it makes playing NiGHTS Into Dreams a lot easier on this thumbs...

Hey! I have one of those (the orange Donkey Kong Thing)...

I found it in my dad's attic when he moved recently - we played it a ton (it was so much fun...)

I thought I remembered there being G+Ws that looked like Orange DSs, but I couldn't find the picture again. Thanks! :D

I remember my friend having a Mario Game & Watch which had a fully transparent LCD screen. At the age of about 10, I was amazed with the technology - you could play the game and see people on the other side of the screen!

I'll try & dig up a picture of it later when I'm back home.

Is that where they got Game & Watch from? :D

Between the controllers or how well the systems are doing in the marketplace? :D

Found it! The transparent game & watch was called the crystal screen - I knew it was real, not like the fakes here (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=117014). :D
