i'm interesed in the cube speakers, and do they work with other macs or is it like the iMac G4's speakers that only work this iMac g4?

Thanks

barter=exchange (goods or services) for other goods or services without using money

which is a lot like trading;)

Yeah, whoops, I meant bargain. I'ma change that.

The speakers are USB speakers, and you can use them with any Mac, I believe. I have them hooked up to my Ti Powerbook right now, and they work fine.

I know it's not posted here in the thread, but would you be interested in selling your cube?

I can't, sorry. Technically the Cube does not belong to me, so I can't sell it. I can upgrade it and mess around with it pretty much as much as I want, but I'm not allowed to outright sell it. Or else, yeah, it'd totally be up for sale.

Hmmm... I may be interested in the Cube speakers... I'll get back to you with an offer in a few days. I have to see if I may be able to get them from a friend or not.

They're in great condition, and sound great as well. Spent most of their lives in a box until I dug them out recently, and they're quite a welcome replacement for my Powerbooks crappy speakers. But they need to be sold for cash! PM me if you're serious, and I'll send you my PayPal info! Thanks!

(Pardon me if this was already posted/answered, I'm really sick today)

Will that 120gb hardrive fit in a G4 Cube (I bought one btw :)) and why do/did your Cube speakers look different than the ones I've seen?

The 120GB drive came out of my Cube, so yes, it will fit fine. The greatest size the Cube can fit without software hacks is a 128GB drive, so the 120GB is really the best fit for it.

I don't know about the speakers. They came with the Cube way back in the day when we bought it, and they're the only ones I've seen pictured with it before. What speakers do you mean?

Edit: I did a google image search: http://images.google.com/images?q=G4+Cube+Speakers&hl=en&btnG=Search+Images

And I think I know what you're talking about. Mine have the clear shell thingie over the speakers, which I think is removable. Is that what you meant? You can see both versions in those pics.

to answer the speaker question
apple made special speakers for the cube and the g4 quicksilver
cude ones have that little box that sits on the desktop
the QS speakers have a mini jack so those speakers only work with the QS

the cube speakers are specially designed to work with the cube, but will work with most macs

Exactly. Apple had to make the Cube speakers USB ones, because there were no 1/8" audio jacks on the Cube. But they still work with pretty much any Mac with USB.

Sure thing. My camera can't seem to take a non-blurry photo of them, and after five attempts, this is the best I could get:
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b236/livingfortoday2/sonys.jpg

You can see the extra cord-extender thingie coiled up on the top there. It's really long, cause the actual headphone cable isn't that long.

Amazon.com has a better photo of them:

Added a bunch of these awesome old Apple paperclips!

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b236/livingfortoday2/clips.jpg

I got these when I was younger 'cause I wrote in to Apple and they responded with paperclips! They're metal, and a bit scratched up, but really a great collectors piece. Haven't the foggiest what to take for them, so best offer wins 'em!

Here's a picture of the scanner:

As you can see, there are some dents on the top, but the glass is unscratched, and it scans fine.

Hey, I have a 512MB chip of PC100 RAM pulled from my Cube for sale. This is good quality Kingston RAM made specifically for G4's.

Make me some offers for this, I'm not sure how much is a fair price to ask nowadays, since a 512MB chip of PC100/133 seems to be getting rarer to find.

The printer's been put on eBay, and starts at only $9.99. I'm getting a new one, so I just need to get rid of this. If you're in the Chicago area and win it, feel free to save on the high shipping (it's heavy!) by just picking it up.

i owne that exact printer and it makes great prints. It is a six color printer (CMYKpCpM). I have been using mine for about a year now and the prints are outstanding. best printer you can get without spending 400. And considering he is selling his for 10 its an even better deal.

256MB PC133 RAM SODIMM - This was pulled from my Powerbook G4 Titanium since I got a second 512MB chip for it. Should fit most G3 Powerbooks and iBooks, as well as the Titanium G4 Powerbooks. It's on eBay right now - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6843028109

Starts at only $19.99

One last thing. I just pulled this Keyspan UPCI-2 USB card from my old G3, and wondered if anyone would want it. It adds two USB 1.1 ports to your older Mac or PC, and only takes one PCI slot to do it!

Here's a link to product info about it: http://www.keyspan.com/products/usb/card/

How does $10 shipped sound?

Okay, I updated what's left, and took off stuff that was sold. I got screwed bad by eBay on the scanner sale (link stopped working for last half hour of auction, when I normally get most bids), but I have three more things up on there that are closing today! The printer, and both sticks of RAM! After those aucitons, you can close this thread down.

Good luck, and thanks to everybody who helped me out!
