Apple doesn't sell products, it sells Apple-ness,? quotes Bruce Sterling in a conversation about industrial design in Wired magazine.

Apple is selling a concept of community, folks that are like minded. Innovation, ability to be productive with ease of use. In order to be an innovative company, they need to sell products. "Apple-ness" would be the multi media digital hub concept!

"Apple-ness" sounds like an idea...a concept...a way of being...more than it does a product.
I concur.
While Apple does have the coolest stuff on the market, it's the way they do things that is usually most apparent. If they wanted to really sell products, we wouldn't have such a thing as the "MHz Myth."
just my .02... ;)
