Anyone else in love with this game too? Maybe I've spent too long playing commercial games, but this Cave Story could possibly be the greatest game I've ever played. Its just so simple, but the motions and feel are perfect! I say. And the graphics! Maybe it's just me but I dont really rate how good graphics are by how nice they look, but how they fit together with the game.

Just a pity the OSX version doesn't want to work on Tiger. Plays fine on my PC though.

so... any players? and (if you did) get it working in Tiger?

ps. I'm up to the big frog boss now :D

Wow! Crazy! I had no idea there was an OS X version either.. But I just downloaded it and it DOES work with Tiger, at least for me.... I've got 10.4.4.

It's fun. I like the art, except for the main character. Can't really make it out.

Also, I wish the controls were a little more...'Castlevania' or 'Metroid'...

It's loads of fun otherwise.

Grrr @ you all! I'm absolutely addicted to Cave Story but I can only play it on the PC downstairs! If only this worked on my PowerBook :mad:

Hmm, it works on my 12" Powerbook. Why wouldn't it work on yours? Strange. What does it say or do when you try to run it?

I'm playing fine on Tiger (10.4.4), just followed the instructions in colinp's post above and it worked a treat

Yeah just download the app and then download the translation patch. Put the app on your hard drive and Ctrl + Click to view the package contents. Inside Resources just copy the Enlglish translated data over the original Japanese data.
