i'm open to selling my revA dual 2.0 powermac. i want a smaller setup and don't need the power of this machine...i'll see if i can sell it to get one of the new imacs...if not, i'm fine keeping it. here are the specs:

- dual 2.0 G5
- 1GHz frontside bus
- 2.5GB ram, 8 slots total for up to 16GB ram (4 more than successor)
- ATI radeon 9600 pro 64MB (better than FX5200 in the successor)
- SATA PCI host card installed
- G5 bracket installed, which allows an additional 3 SATA drives internally
- 160GB boot drive
- 3 250GB SATA drives installed (1 WD, 2 Hitachi, 7200rpm, 8MB cache). can set up internal RAID. one G5 bracket slot open...insert another 250GB drive for 1TB or internal storage!!
- Pioneer DVR-108 superdrive, upgrading the original DVR-106. does DL disks at 4X, i believe.
- no internal BT, but will include BT dongle that works fine.
- no Airport, but you can install yourself.
- all original manuals, boot disks (OSX panther), keyboard (sorry, no mouse), cables, power adapter.

this would be a great machine for someone into video editing...add a better graphics card and you're good to go. lots of hard drive space, but you can add more...basically, this machine is good to go as is...but it has room for even more, if you want.

i've been the only owner of the machine and it has resided in a smoke-free, kid-free, pet-free home and has not been moved since it has arrived here.

asking SOLD! plus i will split the shipping costs, whatever method you choose. paypal is fine and i will pay the paypal fees. i think this is a fair price considering the additional drives and the ram installed...no trades will be considered. thanks, and please feel free to PM or email me (gomi.bako at mac.com) if you have any questions. my feedback link is in my signature.

surprisingly, no. and it's quiet, too...i have an external DVD-RW drive that's way louder than this PM. there are some reviews of the G5 bracket on the web...they give a good sense of the heat/noise factor...

this guy that was interested in buying it (not a macrumors member, though) sent me this awfully fake email from "USPS online money order services" with horrible spelling, terrible animated graphics, and a fake verification number that tells me that once i send the computer the money order will be released and sent to me. (you have to see this email to believe it) WTF? some guys are simply amazing...

what should i do with this guy? i'll probably report the scam to USPS...

in any case, looks as though the machine is still available.

Do you still have it? Are you holding onto it, or would you be willing to sell it?
