Check this stuff out. Now that there is a working TCP/IP driver on the DS (though not quite complete), the homebrew scene has exploded with new stuff.

There's a VNC-like app...

Didn't I make a thread specifically for this kind of stuff?

I say, bring on the OS / VOIP.

That is so sci fi. I can't wait to see who can make the first toaster run linux.

Sweet ideas... but I'd want a larger screen for a portable VLC box to make the jump.

but what do I know.

This is all mighty insane

Soon as the redesign DS comes out I'm gonna fiddle with my old DS with Linux and all that. I'm usually not interested in home brew but with the DS's capabilities (mic+touchscreen) you're onto something good. hell if this thing syncs with my Pocket PC to my Mac without having to buy extra software then I'll probably flog my PPC.

That would be a TALKIE TOASTER

And as Lister would point out, would not be good.

:D

"Anyone for another round of toast?"

Think there is anyway to get a Mac to use PictoChat? oooh the possibilities. I'll get into this stuff when my exams and studying are done. iBook and controlled by a DS, soooo sweet.

They have succeeded in capturing the PictoChat signal and saving the image, but there's no way to reply.

Team XLink then later claimed to have successfully tunnelled PictoChat and Metroid Prime Hunters Demo through PC's with a certain network card, but then later scrubbed the project, said it was too difficult, and made some disparaging comments about DS users.
