Would anyone be interested in laser-etching on their Powerbooks (all sizes)? If so, what would be a fair market price that you would be willing to pay?

For an example, click HERE! (http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2005/11/laser_etched_powerbook.html)

Other Apple products would probably be able to be etched as well, including photos or more words on the backs of iPods.

I'm currently in talks to aquire a laser-etching machine, and looking into the possibility to offset some of the price by selling services at a Mac-friendly price.

Please, everyone, leave your comments! They are much appreciated!

That is awesome - but is this your venture, if so i think you are breaking the rules of this market place (not sure)

You would get more advice in one of the other forums.

That is awesome, i would love a powerbook or powermac side panel pimped like that. You could have lyrics from your favorite song, or if you feel practical you could have your name and address.

im guessing 'quad baby yeah'' will be quite popular :P

I wouldn't mind getting my name engraved really small underneath the computer in the corner, but the cost to ship the computer, get it done, and ship it back would probably make it not worth it.
