I'm just wanting to get an idea of how much I can get for my PB.
Specs:
1.67 GHz PPC G4
1 GB DDR SDRAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 64MB
8x Superdrive
1280 x 854 Screen (in perfect condition)
80GB HD
Bluetooth and Airport
BL keyboard
The actual computer runs perfectly - no hardware issues. The only detraction is that the bottom case is a little bit dented/buckled.

40023
40025
There is also a slight problem with the lid when the comp is closed - it doesn't sit exactly evenly
40022
There are also a few VERY minor scratches/nicks that are barely noticeable.
If there is anything I have left out, please feel free to ask. I feel a bit clueless as to how much I should expect to get, so if you can give me an idea I'd really appreciate it. ;)

Is $1200 too much to ask for this? Should I consider replacing the bottom case? The actual computer runs perfectly, just the few cosmetic issues. PM me if you are interested and we can discuss the price.

$1200 US , which works out to about $1500 AU. Should I expect more?

Is my best option to put it on eBay, with a staring bid of around $1000 AU?

i've been looking on eBay.AU for a month or so, trying to get a feeling for prices. i'm also looking to sell my PB. (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=176484) (am i asking too much..?)
from my research, i'd say you could expect around $2500 for your PB. but with that little dent, i'm not sure how much that would take off.
but yeah, start the bidding at $1. i mean... i guess you could. that gets lots of people's attention, right? but with no reserve, you'd have to have a mighty faith in masses of eBayers desprate for PB's. :p

Considering Apple refurb is selling these for $1599 U.S., I'd say you should be able to at least get that since you upgraded the RAM. I'm sure some sucker^H^H^H^H^H^H one on eBay will pay at least $1500 U.S. for it, if not more.
Check to see what a similar PB has sold for to get an idea.
Too bad you're not in the L.A. area, I'd pay $1200 for it right now. ;)

I'd be amazed if I got $2500 for it. That's my only issue with eBay, that I might only end up getting like $1000 or something depressing like that for it.
