Ok kids, I don't know if this is ok to post, but I'm pretty sure it's kosher. If not... let me know, and I'll delete this.
After buying my iMac, I got a promo email from Apple with a code to save $30 on my next order of $300 or more. You have to make the purchase two weeks after the email was sent (the 2nd of February), so it expires in a bit over a week.
Would anybody be interested in this? $10 gets it! You save $20 still on a purchase! Get that new iPod cheap!

I don 't see anything wrong with posting this here. The fact that you want $10 for a code emailed to you rather than giving it away (as many others have done) doesn't sit too well with me. Good luck.

Seems like a good deal. If I was going to order something from Apple, I'd do it. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone.

Will it work with edu discount?

Yeah, I used an edu discount when I got it, so it should work. When you go under "Billing" in the check out process, it will ask for promo codes, and you enter it there.
And yeah, if no one wants it, I'll probably end up using it myself for a new iPod + dock. I just figured that maybe this could help offset (by a very small amount) the $2k I spent on an iMac to get it in the firstplace, and help someone else who was going to make a purchase already at the same time.

I've had many of these codes sent to me from Apple, and my experience is that they dont work with the edu store. They usually carry a stipulation that you have to spend over a certain amount in the Apple store for the discount to be effective, so make sure you understand the T&C's before you part with your $10.
The edu store discount usually works out to be worth more than the discount the code is offering.

I followed the "terms and conditions" link at the bottom of the email, and turns out you're right on the edu thing. And, because of that, there's no way I'm using this while I can still get the discount.
So... I'll email this code to the first person who wants it for free, 'cause I'll never use it, it seems. Make sure you'll actually use it in the next week, though!
