just as the title says, i have a 4th generation 20GB ipod with a dock, firewire cable and a pink sock. i would like to trade this for a nano or possibly some xbox 360 stuff, like games, or i could add like 250-300US in a trade for a dell 20". please let me know

So here it starts, with him asking why I haven't paid, when I think it's pretty clear I would get back with him after I ask my sister (who the thing is for).

I get home after talking to her in the car, and I have this email at home:


hey, is our deal good, i can ship it today if i get payment before 6:00
Again, seeming to assume that I am going to buy it, despite the fact that I still haven't messaged him back after consulting by sister (which, again, I think was pretty clear).

So I reply: Yup, JUST got off the phone with my sister and she'd like it as long as the battery life is decent (they were rated at 12 hours new, so as long as it gets around 8 it's fine)... you never answered before about the battery...

In the pics you sent it was tough to see the screen. Looks like there a couple of scratches, which aren't a big deal to me, but I'd like to make sure that white stop on the upper right isn't a crack or anything. Maybe a better photo of the screen?

You don't have to ship it today, but I will pay as soon as you let me know about battery time and the screen.

hey thats great, the battery life is good, talk to rickvanr from MR. i bought it off him, and it lasted quite a while, i would say 7-8.5 hours. as for that spot on the screen it isn't a crack, but a nick, or a abbreviation in the screen for example you really can't see it when the backlight is on and it doesn't affect the ipod itself at all. if you run your finger over the spot you can feel the difference in texture. i really have trouble getting a good pic of an ipod. and yes there are some scratches on the screen. so if you want to paypal me NOW!!! because i just bought an ipod video off ebay and need to get the funds in my bank because I sent an echeck.. anyway here is what you will get:

pink ipod sock

for 150 shipped. shipping will be about 18$ for me...so if you want the dock with it it will be an extra 15$ (i am planning on using it with my video..)

And I reply to him with this a message, which unfortunately I don't have (wes can feel free to post it if he wants) because my IMAP server has an issue saving outgoing emails (the rest of these I copied from the reply quotes on him emails), basically, though, I asked him where the $150 came from, and why he was being so pushy. While I was doing the Send/Recieve cycle to send this message, I got ANOTHER one from him,
hey i just was using my paypal account (buying a case for me video that will ship soon) and i didn't see your payment yet, just let me know when you ship it as i am going to the post office tomorrow.

So I replied to him telling him that his prices changing, dodging questions until I ask them twice (simple stuff, like how's the battery) covering up the scuff - if you see the pics it's kinda obvious he knows about it and didn't mention it until I ask specifically about that white blob on the pics, and the overly pushy assuming emails that I don't want it anymore.

When he posted the message above, at 2:30, the only thing I told him is that "[I] have to call her up and see if it's what she wants. She's in school still, so I'll let you know this afternoon, but I think she will go for it. In the meantime, can you email some pics".

Good luck on selling this, I'd be a little calmer in the future.
