No mac games at all, but I fancy getting one to play on my new intelImac...
Any suggestions? Anything with a downloadable demo??
Thanks for your suggestions.

Well... That's a pretty vague.
If you like FPS then go for something like Doom 3, Quake IV (when it comes out) or Unreal Tournament 2004.
Just go onto, say, the apple downloads page, and download demos from them.

Have you ever played any other games? Which did you enjoy, what genre? etc etc etc

I see there is another sole from New Zealand here, even from Auckland!
I have a question for you. To enhance my gaming experience (better keep it on topic eh), do you know of a good place, preferably in Auckland, where I can buy RAM for my intel iMac? Shipping costs for bringing it in from the U.S. are outrageous.

Yeah, sorry to be vague... Truth is i'm not a game player at all.
I spend so much time looking at the screen for my job I sometimes feel that if I have to check my email then i'll be sick...
So i guess I tend to shy away from leisure activities on the 'puter.
It's just this new machine is so beautiful, it would be nice to have something really flashy to show it off and let me see where gaming is at nowadays.
I downloaded the doom3 demo from apple as suggested and, yep, it's pretty cool.
For Warcraft there's no demo I beleive, so it's buy it, or don't...?

I'd suggest Unreal Tournanment 2004. It's great because it can become soooo many other games. You can download Red Orchestra for WW2 action. Tac Ops for SWAT team action and Alien Swarm for classic scrolling shooter action. You should be able to get it cheaply too now.
