Are there any sites/links that you may have that would help me broaden my knowledge of Apple, Steve Jobs and how everything came about? Any biographies, interviews that stand out and are able to be found on the net? Any information on the earlier days of both Apple and MS (Jobs and Gates) and what went on between the two?

Your local library should have some good books on him and Apple. "Steve Jobs: The Journey is the Reward" documents the early days of Apple quite well, up to the mid-'80s when Jobs left. There are other good books, though.

you might want to rent the movie 'the pirates of silicon valley' too.

What's the name of that Kawasaki book, "Apple Uncensored" or something like that, pretty good reading. "Fire in the Valley".
There is a book called "Insanely Great" which covers the mac story.

some interesting books are Apple Confidential and The Second Coming of Steve Jobs.

Then of course, the classic movie Pirates of Silicon Valley :)

edit: There's also a book called Macintosh...The Naked Truth by Scott Kelby, I believe that's not that bad...
