My brother's Xbox stopped working a few months ago. I blame the mod chip but, then the motherboard may be bad. Some traces were broken on the board and it's all a mess. I think probably the mod chip and the motherboard are busted so...

What I am looking for is an Xbox Motherboard or an Motherboard + Hard Drive set, I believe the HD and Motherboard have to be a match in order to work. I could be wrong but, I remember reading that somewhere. My Power Supply and all the other components work fine. If you have a broken or half-working Xbox system I'd be interested in taking it off your hands.

Refurbished XBox Systems go for about $130 at the game stores but, the Trade-In Value for a fully working Xbox is only $60. I'd be willing to pay $40 or so for a Xbox motherboard/HD set. Or maybe just the motherboard.

If anyone has any Xbox parts such as the motherboard or hard drive I'd be very interested. I don't think my mod chip works (it may but, I'm not sure) so I might be interested in a used working chip too.

I can pay via PayPal and I might be interested in cash + trade offers.

Thanks :D

if you plan on modding the motherboard you dont need a matching HD.

buy a new XBOX, cash, switch with yours, return for cash.

Run out the door quickly.

Shipping from North Carolina to New Jersey shouldn't be bad. Although I see you have zero posts, I'm not saying I don't trust you but, I'd like to see some references from eBay or another online site. You never know who your dealing with on the internet

Also what problem are you having with the current Xbox?

Hehe, I would do the buy and switch thing Sdashiki but, the stickers on the bottom of the Xbox would be pretty easily noticed since when peeled off it says "VOID VOID VOID"! haha :p

Ahh just punch a hole through them! J/K don't do that - its dishonest. (Well I mean the buy and return thing. I don't have a problem beating up the stickers!)

Would you consider sending me the dead mobo for cost of shipping? I've modded 3 xboxs and thank God I haven't screwed any up. I've never seen what a broken trace looks like, and I'd like to sharpen my soldering skills messing with it.

If so, give me a PM. Thanks!

Well here's an example of a broken trace: http://pinrepair.com/wpc/nodim2.jpg

But, in my case the whole line just ripped up off the damn motherboard. I think I'll hold onto my Xbox motherboard with some small hope that it'll stop giving me the FRAG lights (A.K.A. Christmas lights)...I wish this damn thing worked. Stupid motherboard *kicks*...oh well...
