Terminal error?

When I open my terminal I get the message

Welcome to Darwin!
/usr/share/init/tcsh/rc: No such file or directory.

What is the rc file?

Also there appears to be no prebinding command or man for the same.

rc is part of the tcsh shell... but no ideas about what it does

What's interesting is I don't get the normal login. It doesn't give my user name or anything.
