Speed limit 160?!

Yup. I always knew it was going to be a lot brighter. What I'd like is a Micro/DS Lite comparison shot playing GBA games. The micro just blew me away.

Congrats on your DS Lite. I'm going to wait for the UK launch (for once :D )

Making it really hard to wait man with all these pictures....the report said the brighter screen gives new life to the games and enhance there graphics....good stuff but i have to admit this makes me think The big N intentionally make the 1st product with flaws then redo it and sell it...well it works. Don't worry there will be a Nintendo DS lite advance.

Agree to the new life comment. When I got my GB Micro I found myself starting new save files on all my games. Was a much more enjoyable experience.

I don't know how they can improve on the 3rd incarnation. The Lite is just sex with a stylus... wait...

How did you get yours already? I live in the states and am waiting for the U.S. launch, which I don't know when that's going to be. Oh well I guess my old DS will have to do for now.

The news indicate a May U.S release. The DS lite have different brightness setting so that wont be a problem. That picture is from IGN....no one except people in Japan got the new lite(not yet)

Wish it had a dimmer... Must be blinding at night!Actually, I think it does. I believe it has four brightness levels and Nintendo has said the lowest one is equal to the original DS. Can't wait to get one, so glad I held out!

If folk have already forgotten, Shigsy/Iwata/some guy at Nintendo did say the DS we got was a 'test' version. that it was launched a year early just so they could get the machine out an established. That's why there were few games in its first year.

If anyone who heard that had actually expected the original DS to be the only one and are not complaining that "its not fair" they need their head checking.

My PSP is selling on eBay today with all proceeds going towards a shiny new DS Lite plus Warioware (when it's released in the UK :mad: )

Snazzy! did you get an import old DS too? Happy that you got it without import tax then BAM! Months later you get a nice letter. I cried. I paid £170 for my DS, Mario 64 and Metroid. Never again!

Worse I paid a load for my Panasonic Q and then got landed with over a 100quid for impport and custom duty charges.. Cost me over €600 in the end :rolleyes:

Similar thing with Jap psp, cost me around €300 including taxes...
