Did either of these titles make it to macs? I was CRAZY for kings quest when I was growing up and was just wondering. Also, Quest for Glory 5 was IMO a great game (played it only on PC) and was wondering if anyone has a copy/is it on macs? I really don't like virtual pc so I'd wait until vista which will surely not be compatible. Thanks

You can play most of the Kings Quests games with SCUMMVM (www.scummvm.org), which is an open source interpreter for the old Lucas Arts adventure games.

Edit:
Whoops, as pointed out below Kings Quest is a Seirra game, not a Lucas one, so of course SCUMMVM will not work. Serian is what you want, the link is http://sarien.sourceforge.net/.

Duh. :P

Will ScummVM work? Kings Quest/QFG are sierra games, not lucasarts.

If there's a way to get these games working, i'd like to know. I love Quest for Glory.

There's a similar program for Sierra games that works like ScummVM, but I'm blanking on the name right now. But yes, the King's Quest games were released for the Mac, as well as Quest for Glory 1 and 5. I don't have any of them though.

Whoops, you are all right... I was blanking for a minute there. The app you want for all the *Quest game is Serian, http://sarien.sourceforge.net/.

Sorry about that. If you liked Kings Quest, though, check out the SCUMM compatible games.
