Does anyone know if there are any third party developers looking at releasing a nvidia powered card or is Apple preventing any other developers from doing this

I've read that you can flash some 3rd-party PC nVidia cards and have them work on the Mac, but Mac specific 3rd party vendors...?

I don't know any.

I'm not sure if they even exist.

I'm pretty sure there aren't any yet I was wondering if there was any interest in making them

Since the startup costs are normally quite large for such a thing, it's unlikely that any of the card makers would consider it. Still, you'd think that those which have cards which can be flash-updated would think about it. They could actually put a Macintosh label on the same box. :)

The only other sticking point would be supporting ADC-connected monitors.

True about the ADC thing but you right I would think they could flash a card with an Apple rom and market a non ADC mac card. Apple probably would not like that.

Steve's thought's "my mac buyers aren't all using Apple monitors NO WAY"
