I am going on vacation in May, and would like a laptop to take with me. I had an iBook G3 for my last trip, but I never used it when I got home so I sold it. I really don't normally have a need for a laptop at home, so I don't want to put a lot of money into one. I might could borrow one from work, but don't really want to be responsible for it. So I may be in the market for something cheap, with wi-fi and ethernet. An IBM Thinkpad would be ideal, but anything will be considered. This is just a feeler for now, to see what I can get and for what price. I have a lot of old Windows stuff available (odds and ends), but nothing new or worth very much. Let me know what you have and how much you want.

UPDATE: I no longer need a laptop. I just got a tangerine clamshell iBook w/ 64MB (1 slot free), 6GB hdd, OS 9, MS Word 98, all install CDs, and matching USB floppy and Epson printer and extra battery all for $125. I doesn't have the Airport card, but everything seems to be in great shape. I'll be looking to find out more about these early iBooks.

Just to clarify, I had an iBook G3 500mHz that I sold for $450, and that is more than I would like to spend this time. Otherwise I will probably just borrow a Thinkpad from work to take with me.

Toshiba Sattelite, 2.8Ghz Celeron, 768MB RAM, Combo Drive, Wireless B/G (integrated), 60GB 5400RPM hd 1024x768 15" screen. It's about 1 1/2 years old. I would be interested in selling it for about 450, considering its going for about 650-700 on ebay with less RAM, interested?

I have a Micron Transport Trek 2. I don't have it running right now, but I'm putting in a 6 Gb HD into it Monday and it'll be running XP. It's not a super fast laptop but it will get web browsing, emails, word processing done fine. It's only $100 + actual shipping.

It's an A65-S126. It's got the usually scuffs and the clip on the front is missing (common of many sattlelite laptops) but it doesnt make any difference. It has radeon 7000 integrated graphics 64MB (so the visible memory is 704MB) Also, the paint is chipped off of the left mouse button (doesn't affect performance)

It's at my other house so I cant take pictures. However, this is exactly what it looks like:

It's a nice machine, but I need the money and I have too many computers as it is. Thanks for the interest.

Only 15? Why stop there? Seriously, that is a LOT of clamshells! I think 1 will do me.
