Hi, check out the link as those drives come with a warranty (I bought one from there) as well as the software.

I'd sell you mine but it would be close to the price of the ones for sale here, good luck :)

Thanks, yeah, that's actually what I was planning on doing if no one here had a drive they were selling. They're really nice lookin', and a really good price, especially for Lightscribe drives.

Go to www.dealmac.com and search for a cheap FW external enclosure and a dvd internal drive and build your own. You will save lots o' cash. Also, use patchburn (ww.patchburn.de) to help your mac recognize your new drive.

I've also thought about this, but I'm worried that I'll end up getting an unsupported drive. Is there a way to check to see if Patchburn supports a certain PC drive, or should it automatically do it, regardless?

I'm interested. How much would you want for that drive, shipped? Also, is that fan loud, and can it be disabled?

I haven't used it in a while, but I don't remember the fan being loud. Quieter then the other external drive I've had. There is wires to the fan, so I'm quite sure it can be disable.
