Halo on the iMac G5

So just sold my xBox off, and have GameCube, but it's not the same thing. Xbox and GameCube both rock, but they have different types of games. So i'm think about buying Halo for Mac OS X. That way i can play online with my friends, but i worried about how my iMac will handle it.

I was looking at the Specs need to play it, and they seem pretty low(G4 800Mhz, 32MB VRAM, 256RAM, with Sugested Spec at 1Ghz G4, 64MB VRAM, 512Mb RAM)

So i'm sure it will run, but i'm asking for people who have played it on the Rev A iMac G5(and if they would please name there specs)

Or the record, my Specs are 1.8Ghz, 1GB RAM, 64MB VRAM

Halo doesnt demand as much as other games, so I say it should run fairly well. I have seen G4 mini's run the game and keep up with the big boys running bigger machines.

I've heard things about terrible optimizations hurting performance on some boards, but that may have been the Windows version.

An iMac G5 should be fine though.

Yeah should be grand :) Just play around with vertex shaders to see what performance suits you best...
