17" PowerBook 1.5 Ghz G4 with 768MB RAM, Superdrive, 80GB HDD. This machine is 100% on the inside but it needs a new video cable for the onboard LCD. The screen works perfectly sometimes but other times it will be filled with lines. Luckily all it needs is a new video cable, which can be purchased for around $200, and someone to install it. Again, the LCD itself is fine. Just needs a new internal cable installed. Any authorized Apple service center will do this for a small labor fee.

The machine has been used by our IT department (all Apple Certified Help Desk) and has served us very well. There are no problems with any of the components aside from the video cable. Logic board, hard drive, superdrive all perfect. Some wear and tear on the case, nothing substantial. I should also mention that this machine works perfectly fine with the lid closed and an external keyboard and mouse attached using it as a desktop. So if you are looking for an ultra slim desktop Mac that you can tuck away on a shelf or out of sight then this could be perfect for you without any repairs at all. Would also make a great entertainment center in the living room hooked up to the t.v. with wireless keyboard and mouse. Can easily slide inside/under and t.v. cabinet.

We don't have time to fix this unit and we have plenty of Macs over here already. It's easier for us to pass them on to a good home (that means you!). This is a good opportunity to grab a kick ass PowerBook on the cheap. Please feel free to ask any questions. Asking for $1000. If you are local there is a free 17" CRT monitor thrown in.
