Hey,
Just thought I would post this on here before I post it on Ebay. I figure theres probably a better market on ebay but if I can a good enough of deal on it then I would rather sell it on here then on Ebay.
So, I have a couple pictures the one posted below and a few others if you want PM me. The distortion around the "iBook" font is just some scotch tape and should be gone by item is sent.
Please no low ballers if I get a good enough of a deal Ill include shipping.

Any other questions leave a reply or PM me, I would prefer NOT to communicate through email.
Thanks,
Mark

Just a note to you iBook G4 owners who may have a broken screen... Assuming all the wires are functional and hinge and bezel are ok in your G4 and it's just the LCD that's broken, you can swap in a G3 screen. I did that when I had a broken LCD on my G4. It's not the easiest repair, but it isn't that bad and it sure beats spending $300 or whatever you can get an LCD for. Just for a price reference, I think I paid about $100 5 months ago.

Thats correct, it will fit either G3 or G4. Aswell I can include installing instructions with it.

I'm in the market for an lcd since my G4 screen is kind of cracked but the thing that I'm hesitant about is I'm really trying to find out how involved a DIY job is with this. Is there a web site that can clue me in on it or maybe explain it on here? Just not sure about the risk and cost benefit of doing this. Thanks.

The part I'm trying to figure out is how to replace the lcd in my existing display. I'm keeping the cover and bezel and can't seem to find any tutorial for taking the display apart for that. Any help? Thanks.

First you have to be sure that your problem is the LCD display and not the digital cable that connect the G4 display to the motherboard cause you will need to swap this cable and use it with the G3 LCD display. Easy to open the plastics around the display, there are no screws only plastic clips so you have to use a plane and sharp tool to unclip the bezel all around the display. A good advice is to take many picts with your digital camera during disassembling cause there are many cables (airport, microphone, inverter, digital cable) to reassemble in the plastics before closing the display. All in all a tough job if you're not inclined in electronics. Sorry but www.ifixit.com has no tutorial explaining how to take apart the display.

ahah that was actually the instructions I was going to include. They are very good and step by step.
Im not sure about Patricks problem... I would say that mine doesnt come with the back cover however the bezel only seems to be connected at the base through some wires I havent really looked into how it would be exchanged onto another bezel.

Would you sell the inverter?

I would rather just sell the whole rig... I dont want to sell just parts of it and then get stuck with it.
How much does an inverter go for anyways?
