Starcraft better on 9?

I installed Starcraft on my iBook, but I seem to remember that it had better graphics. Is this just a resolution problem? Or is Starcraft better when running on OS9? (I am using the X Patch)

Presumably you used to run it on a CRT. It doesn't look as nice on LCDs because they don't support the 640x480 resolution used by the game.

Nope I used to run it on an iBook 366Mhz G3 which had an LCD, and supported 640x480.

No, it's not better on OS9. In order for it to look good, it needs to run on a CRT or an LCD that displays 640x480 or an exact multiple of that (like 1280x960).
