Hello, i have an ibook G4 14" Screen and i was wondering how you take off the keyboard. I know you can do this to install RAM and other stuff. I have trired pulling the 2 little latches on the edge of the set of function keys but it feels as if the keyboard is going to break if i pull it any harder. Does anybody know how to do this, i need to install some more RAM that i have purchased. Thank you.

If you take a close look at your keyboard you will see on the top (middle)were the (F-Keys are) a little set screw. Take a tiny screwdriver and turn the screw half a turn. Then pull both latches and the Keyboard comes right out.

Slide the bottom tabs into the bottom first then place the top down while holding the sliders up top towards you. It should basically fall right into place.
Most important thing is to do the bottom first. Tabs in, then the top down.

I just helped you in your other thread. READ IT AND DON'T DOUBLE POST.
It's not hard to put it back on at all. BOTTOM FIRST, THEN TOP DOWN.

It really depends on the Q&A as you could be an expert with wifi but have trouble getting your kb back in ;) Everyone still learns, even if they don't admit it no matter how many posts they make :p

That doesn't sound good. I'm sure it's replaceable, though.

Stop right now.
You have posted a few threads about having trouble with your iBook. I highly recommend you finding someone who has experience with iBooks, or better yet find an authorized apple technician. I am really fearful that if you continue, you are going to really mess up your iBook.

How old is your iBook? See if Apple will send you a knew kb (call them up and tell them your kb isn't working very well) or call an Apple Store and get a price for that strip. Relax when you pull that kb up and out ;)
