Ok. My Cube is dead again, and after testing two processors, I think it's either the motherboard or the video card. So. I need a video card for the Cube. I really don't want to spend a lot of money, so it can be even a stock Rage 128, I don't care. I want this as a fileserver, so it needs little to no video processing power.
I'm trying to avoid eBay, so let me know what ya got. Thanks.

Are you 100% sure it's in working condition? Sorry, I hate to be paranoid, but I really want to make sure it's not the motherboard that's broken on this thing.

macs will boot with no graphics card, boot it in target disk mode and install whatever you want on it + a VNC client, it'll quite happily chug allong with no graphics card, though i suspect it's he vrm or logic board.

You need to have a firewire port for that though, right? My firewire doesn't work on the Cube.

ok, then take out the HD plug it into something, install a VNC client ect.
at least ping your cube (identify all the IP's on your network and ping the missing one or the next one up.

I'm gonna try to set up the Cube again (it's in pieces right now) and try the VNC thing, and I'll let you know this weekend.
