Call of Duty sound problems

just bought CoD for my powerbook (in sig) and there's no in-game sound. it does the little ASPYRE sound thinger at the start but then there's no sound after that. has anyone had any experience with this? i've had a quick google and i cant find anything.

help would be appreciated (obviously :o)
