GBA - Minish Cap - How do I jump?

I'm heading into the mountains after the 2nd element. How do I jump into the whirlwind? I can't seem to figure out how to jump...

this is my first Zelda game ever so I'm pretty clueless.

After looking through a few of the FAQs, there does not appear to be a "jump" button.

You need the Roc's Cape. I believe that's how it's spelled. It's an item you acquire in a dungeon.

Jumping was never big in a Zelda game (cept Zelda 2 and Smash Bros). You get the cape very late on. Last dungeon IIRC.

Stick with it though. Minish Cap is a very good game.

You can't jump yet, not until you get the Roc's Cape.
Haven't played in a while so I don't remember that dungeon.

If you read carefuly the OP's post, he asked how to jump --in the whirlwind--.

That can be accomplished without the Roc's Cape.

Just find your way to the upper ledge and walk up to the very edge and Link (your character) will jump by himself into the whirlwind.

Thanks! That's exactly the tip I needed. I read about Roc's Cape in the FAQ bu I'm not yet to that part. I'll try to get up the cliff.

Can someone tell me how 10 year olds figure this out yet I can't? (I'm 33)
