Thinking about parting with this, but haven't quite made up my mind yet (a great machine - not sure if I can yet justify replacing it).

Would come with extra battery (at 75-80% of original capacity) and extra power supply, as well as software if wanted (iLife 05, iWork 05 DVD). Has the faster HD (5400 80GB), 64MB VRAM (ATI Mob 9600), backlit keyboard, Firewire 800 & 400, etc. [Edit: also have original packaging, documentation, DVDs, etc.]

Any interest? As for prices, I see similar packages listed for as much as $1400 CAN (or even more) on ebay (but this is up for discussion of course). Would prefer to deal within Canada.

Thanks

Though it goes up and down the candian dollar is worth about .85 of USD. That being said hes asking between 1200-1250(USD) depending on what day you do the exchange(as well he did state that he would rather work within canada)

This is a feeler, so thoughts about what is reasonable price are welcome. I did quote the higher end of the spectrum on ebay - I think a more realistic price is around $1200 CAN or so.

Yes that seems a bit more fair. Would it be possibly for you to post some pictures?

Would you trade the 1GB stick for a 256 Stick plus cash?

I put some info & pictures into a document, which is attached. Let me know if you would like specific information or additional pictures. (will only let me upload a low quality version)

Chef, would prefer not to sell off the RAM - if I hold onto it or sell it, I wouldn't want to decrease performance (I find these run better with over a Gig of RAM)

Yeah I know thats why I'm trying to get over 1GB for my PB. I just thought it might make you some extra money of the sale, but thats alright. Let me know if you change your mind.

$1200 is a bit more reasonable.

I had a hard time selling my 15" 1.67Ghz Rev. D with 1.5GB of Ram and 128mb VRAM 2 months ago. I ended up letting it go for $1850 CAD.
And now with the BootCamp release.. prices seem to be dropping a bit more..

Wow this was very well laid out and pretty much answered all of my questions.

Not sure if I seen it in there or not Ill have a look through it again in a bit, but does it have any dead pixels?

This seems like a decent deal I might go for it although right now Im torn between waiting for a Macbook ... just like everyone else :p I'll see what I can do for yah.

Yeah, I was just playing around with iWork, really easy to make. I forgot to add the pixel information (was supposed to be the last bullet point on the second page). I had to ran Pixel Check as I had forgotten where they were and their status. There are 3 abnormal pixels - one red at the very base of the screen, and 2 red pixels in the upper left right quadrant. The lower red one is really red, but only really visable on a black screen. The other 2 are not nearly as bright. I have not tried to massage them out or use the "flashing colors" to "unstick" them.

Know what you mean about the decision, it is a tough one. Let me know if you have other questions or requests.

Cheers
